Well, we made it! It was not the restful trip that it has been in the past (no idea if that had anything to do with the 9 year old sitting next to me who did not sleep a wink lest he miss one of the exciting activities on his in-seat entertainment devices) but we are pretty much unscathed. Jack was excited to do the little layover in Tokyo and then he passed out on the 3.5 hour flight to Beijing (and do did I!).
Tomorrow we head to the Great Wall (what Jack has been looking forward to), the Summer Palace (what Jay has been looking forward to), and the famous Peking duck restaurant (what I have been looking forward to!).
Only 3 days until Johnathan Day :)
(this was him the WHOLE flight... totally oblivious to the world!)
